American Institute of Architects Recognizes BIMsmith as One of 2018’s Most Innovative Construction Technology Startups
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) recognized BIMsmith this week as one of the most innovative construction technology startups of 2018.
The recognition comes in conjunction with the 2018 AIA National Conference on Architecture in New York City from June 21-22. The companies named were recognized as major contributors to the forward momentum of technology in the construction sector in 2018. BIMsmith was among just a handful of companies nationwide to receive this designation by the AIA.
“Our goal at BIMsmith has always been to provide architects with better tools through innovation and technology,” said Benjamin Glunz, CEO of BIMsmith. “It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by the AIA for our efforts so far, and we’re excited about what’s yet to come.”
BIMsmith provides a suite of cloud tools for building product discovery, research, and selection. BIMsmith Forge, an innovative cloud-based configurator for Revit assemblies was launched in 2016, and BIMsmith Market, a free database for manufacturer building product data, was launched in 2017. The company was founded by architects in an effort to add efficiency and innovation to architects’ workflows.
