(October 17, 2018) - Rinnai Corporation, a North American manufacturer of tankless gas water heaters, today announced a strategic partnership with BIMsmith, a cloud-based design tool that allows architects, engineers, and designers to create Revit family components for the building design software application Autodesk Revit.
To kick off the partnership, Rinnai has released a comprehensive BIM library of more than 100 data-rich models of its leading tankless water heaters, rack systems, boilers, and accessories. These models can now be used by architects and building designers as they concept new building designs to specify Rinnai products — effectively keeping the brand top-of-mind during this crucial phase of project development.
“Rinnai’s vision is to enhance lives by changing the way water is heated,” Rinnai Marketing Manager Dale Schmitz said. “By providing BIM data that allows building designers to integrate Rinnai products into their projects, this vision can begin to take shape earlier in the process than ever before.”
Each 3D model contains intelligent product data that offer information on multiple phases of a building’s life cycle, from design to construction to maintenance, and every model can be integrated directly into the user’s Revit building designs. This speeds up the process and gives architects and building designers a fast and reliable way to leverage Rinnai’s products for their building designs.
“The Rinnai name carries with it an assurance of performance and durability that makes their products a favorite for architects, engineers, and contractors,” BIMsmith CEO Benjamin Glunz said. “We are excited to welcome Rinnai to the BIMsmith platform.”
